Shai Gilgeous-Alexander didn’t just lead the Oklahoma City Thunder back to winning ways on Monday night — he carved his name deeper into NBA history.
The reigning MVP poured in 31 points as the Thunder brushed aside the Memphis Grizzlies 119-103, but the numbers that mattered most came early in the fourth quarter.
A smooth, trademark mid-range jumper pushed SGA past 20 points yet again, extending his jaw-dropping streak to 100 consecutive games with 20 or more points.
Only one man has ever done it before: Wilt Chamberlain.
In NBA history, only two players have recorded 20+ points in 100 straight games:— Wilt Chamberlain (126)— Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (100)

He’s now just 27 games away from eclipsing Chamberlain’s all-time record of 126, a mark once thought untouchable.
“We weren’t at our best, but we did enough to win,” Gilgeous-Alexander said afterward. “I’ve still got to get better.”
Memphis briefly threatened an upset, jumping out to a seven-point first-quarter lead, but Oklahoma City seized control in the second and never looked back. Jalen Williams added 24 points, Ajay Mitchell chipped in 16 off the bench, and the Thunder’s depth again proved decisive.
At 26–3, OKC remains perched comfortably atop the Western Conference, with a heavyweight clash against second-placed San Antonio looming next.
Elsewhere in the NBA
The Denver Nuggets kept the pressure on with a 135–112 demolition of the Utah Jazz. Nikola Jokic quietly produced another masterpiece — 14 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists — for his 14th triple-double of the season and 178th of his career. Only Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook have more.
And guess what? Jokic didn’t even play in the 4th quarter.
To top his night off, the Serbian even called for a lob from Jamal Murray and produced a classic, calm, composed Jokic finish, to have a bit of fun.
Meanwhile in Boston, the Celtics showed their grit, erasing a 20-point second-half deficit to stun Indiana 103–95. Jaylen Brown exploded for 31 points, including 14 in the final quarter, as Boston outscored the Pacers 60–34 after halftime.
