COEP Pune BTech 2022 Admissions Updates: 25 % Seats Through JEE Main


The authorities have also notified an increase in the intake capacity in each BTech branch by 25 percent. The additional (increased) 25% seats in each of the B.Tech programs are being offered to the All India Candidates, on the basis of their merit/score in the JEE Main 2022 exam. 

However, the original 100 percent seats are reserved and available for Maharashtra State candidates (Maharashtra Domicile), exactly as per previous year, on the basis of their merit/scores in the State’s MHT CET 2022 exam.

COEP Pune BTech admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria for All India Candidature

To be eligible for admission into COEP Pune, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
  • Moreover, aspirants should obtain a non zero positive score in JEE Main (B.E/B.Tech) or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2022 and should obtain non zero score in MHT-CET 2022.

Earlier, the CET Cell Maharashtra started the MHT CET 2022 counselling registration in online mode on September 21. Candidates willing to get admission into BTech courses offered by MHT CET 2022 participating institutes have to register for MHT CET CAP process. The last date to register for MHT CET counselling 2022 is October 4.
