JSSC CGL Paper Leak: The Jharkhand High Court heard the petition filed regarding the paper leak of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission’s CGL exam. The division bench, comprising Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao and Justice Rajesh Shankar, maintained the ban on releasing the JSSC CGL result.

Advocate Sanjay Piperwal represented the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, while advocate Ajit Kumar represented the petitioner. The next hearing is scheduled for July 15.

Prakash Kumar filed the petition to cancel the JSSC CGL exam, citing irregularities and demanding its cancellation. He also requested that the exam be conducted by the CBI or a committee of retired High Court judges. During the last hearing, the state government sought more time.

The JSSC combined graduate level examination took place on September 21 and 22, 2024. Students reported that only 82 candidates passed the exam on September 21, while 2149 candidates passed that was held on September 22.

In October last year, Jharkhand CGL candidates and student leaders demanded the cancellation of the exam due to rigging in it. There were several protests held by the aspirants and a campaign was launched regarding the same. However, Hazaribagh Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay had rejected all the allegations made by the candidates. He had stated that all the guidelines were followed during the examination and videography was also done while opening the question paper. Hence, there is no possibility of paper leak or other irregularities.

The recruitment aims to fill 863 posts of Assistant Branch Officer, 335 of Junior Secretariat Assistant, 182 of Labor Enforcement Officer, 5 of Planning Assistant, 252 of Block Supply Officer, and 185 of Zonal Officer.

Candidates who clear the exam will have to appear for the document verification process next, the dates of which will be announced soon. Candidates must carry the original certificates related to the entries made in the online application for the examination, along with one self-signed photocopy and two recent passport-sized colour photographs.
