With the Battery-as-a-Service plan, the VX2 emerges as the most affordable option.
Hero’s electric subsidiary Vida, launched the VX2 in two guises, the Go and Plus. Earlier we pitted the Go variant against its rivals, now we have compared the higher-spec Plus variant with the larger battery to see how it fares on paper, in terms of battery pack, range and its price.
Vida VX2 Plus electric scooter vs rivals: range comparison
| Range comparison | |
|---|---|
| Model | Range |
| Vida VX2 Plus | 142km |
| Bajaj Chetak 3501 | 153km |
| Bajaj Chetak 3502 | 153km |
| Bajaj Chetak 3503 | 153km |

| Ather Rizta Z 3.7 | 159km |
The Rizta duo offer the highest range
All the electric scooters here offer a similar range. The VX2 Plus has the lowest IDC-claimed range, which is proportionate to its slightly smaller 3.4kWh battery pack compared to the others. The Rizta, on the other hand, delivers the highest IDC range, due to its larger 3.7kWh battery pack.

|---|---|
| Vida VX2 Plus | 2hr 41min |
| Bajaj Chetak 3501 | 3hr |

| Ather Rizta Z 3.7 | 4hr 30min |
The Vida VX2 Plus has the fatest charging time
All the charging times mentioned are for 0–80 percent only. Despite a lower 580W supplied charger, the Vida VX2 Plus manages quicker real-world charging due to its smaller battery pack. The Chetak 3501, with its 950W onboard charger, is the fastest among the 35 series, while the 3502 and 3503 use a slightly slower 900W off-board charger.
In comparison, the iQube3.5’s 650W off-board charger charges its 3.5kWh battery in less time than the Chetak. The S and ST variants get a quicker 950 watt charger bundled into the price. Both the Rizta S and Z get the same 3.7kWh battery, with its charge time the highest here, owing to its larger battery pack than the rest.

The VX2 Plus is the most affordable here
The Vida VX2 Plus is the most affordable option if chosen with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) — a model where you rent the battery and pay only for the distance you ride every month. Even if you buy the VX2 Plus with the battery bundled, it is one of the most affordable scooters here, at Rs 1.10 lakh.
The Bajaj Chetak 3503 is priced similarly to the Vida VX2 Plus, followed by the Chetak 3502 and iQube 3.5, both priced at Rs 1.23 lakh. Moving up the chain, the iQube S is priced Rs 7,000 above the 3502 and standard variant. The top-spec 3501 is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh, undercutting its chief rival — the iQube 3.5 ST — by Rs 10,000.
Despite the recent launch of the more affordable Ather Rizta S 3.7, it still ends up priced above its rivals here. The Rizta Z 3.7 is the most expensive option in this comparison, priced at Rs 1.50 lakh.
