The Intelligence Bureau, part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has commenced the registration process for the IB Security Assistant/Executive recruitment 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can access the application form on the official MHA website at mha.gov.in. The registration began on July 26 and will conclude on August 17, 2025. This recruitment initiative aims to fill 4987 positions within the organisation.

IB Security Assistant/ Executive Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Applicants must have completed Class 10 or its equivalent from a recognised Board of Education. The age requirement is between 18 and 27 years as of August 17, 2025.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed matriculation (10th class) or equivalent from a recognised Board of Education. They must possess a domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied. Besides, they must also have knowledge of any one of the language/dialect from the vacancy list.

IB Security Assistant/ Executive Recruitment 2025: Application Fees
The application fee is Rs 100, with recruitment processing charges of Rs 550. Payments can be made using a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or Challan. Candidates are advised to generate a payment acknowledgment slip for future reference.
IB Security Assistant/ Executive Recruitment 2025: Exam Pattern
The selection process includes an online exam, a written exam, and an interview or personality test. The online exam consists of objective-type MCQs, divided into five parts, each containing 20 questions worth one mark. Questions will be asked from General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical/Analytical/Logical ability and Reasoning, English Language and General Studies. A negative marking of one-fourth of the marks will be applied to each wrong answer. Candidates will one hour to complete the exam. It will contain 100 marks total. Those who clear this round will be called for the written test.
The written exam is descriptive. Candidates will be given one hour to translate a passage of 500 words from opted language/dialect to English and vice versa. It comprises 50 marks.
Those who clear the written exam will be called for the interview/personality test.
IB Security Assistant/ Executive Recruitment 2025: Salary Details
Candidates will get a Level-3 salary, that is, between Rs 21700 to Rs 69100 in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt allowances. They will get Special Security Allowance at 20% of basic pay in addition to other Govt allowances. They will also get cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
