The seat allotment result for Round 1 for undergraduate admission at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will be released today, August 8, 2025. Once out, the first merit list will be available at bhucuet.samarth.edu.in. Admission to all UG programmes of BHU will be done on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test- Undergraduate 2025 (CUET UG 2025) only, for the academic year 2025-26.
The cutoff marks for UG courses and subject combinations will also be uploaded on the official BHU website today. Those who secure seats must deposit the fees promptly to confirm their admission.
BHU UG Counselling 2025: How To Check Seat Allotment List?
Step 1: Visit bhucuet.samarth.edu.in
Step 2: On the home page, click on the round 1 seat allocation list link.
Step 3: The applicants can review the list on a new page that opens.
Step 4: Save a physical copy and download it for future reference.

Students selected must report to their respective departments for document verification and reservation of seats on August 25, 2025. After completing all formalities, regular classes will begin on August 28.
Performance Based Tests (for BPA, BFA and Sports Quota) — August 13 to 16, 2025
First Round Allocation — August 8, 2025
Second Round Allocation — August 11, 2025
Third Round Allocation — August 14, 2025
Fourth Round Allocation — August 18, 2025
Reporting at respective Faculty/ College — August 25, 2025
Class starts — August 28, 2025
The institute has also indicated that the number of counselling rounds may change later. Information on spot registration will be provided based on available seats.
Exams for those enrolled in practical courses will take place on the BHU campus and related departments from August 13 to 16, 2025. Registered students must attend on the scheduled dates to avoid missing the opportunity.
The Correction Window will be accessible only to candidates who have registered and submitted their application forms, including payment of the registration fee, within the registration deadline.
Candidates who have entered incorrect gender information on their application forms must make corrections during the Correction Window. Female candidates will have access to more preferences/locations after making corrections, according to the BHU official notice.
