NEET UG Counselling 2025: The deadline for candidates to fill in and lock their choices has been extended to August 9, 2025.

The Medical Counselling Committee has once again revised the Round 1 Seat Allotment schedule. According to the updated timetable, the NEET UG counselling 2025 round 1 seat allotment result will now be announced on August 11, 2025. It was initially slated to be out today, August 9.
The deadline for candidates to fill in and lock their choices has also been extended to August 9, 2025. Students can complete the NEET UG Counselling 2025 round 1 choice filling and choice locking process through the official website mcc.nic.in. They must log in using their application ID and password to enter and lock their choices before the deadline.
According to the official notification, MCC decided to extend the choice filling and choice locking window due to numerous requests from NRI/CW candidates and ongoing court cases.
NEET UG Counselling 2025 Revised Schedule For Round 1
— Choice Filling for Round-1 Available from August 8 upto August 9, 2025 till 11:59 PM
— Choice Locking for Round-1 Available from August 9, 2025 from 6 PM up to 11:59 PM
— Result Declaration of Round-1 on August 11, 2025
As per the earlier schedule, those selected in the merit list will have to verify their documents and report to the colleges assigned for admission by August 18. Thereafter, institutes can verify the data of joined candidates between August 19 and 20 and confirm their seats. There has been no change in the reporting deadline in the revised schedule.

Step 1: Go to the MCC’s official website, mcc.nic.in.
Step 2: From the homepage, click on the UG Counselling tab.
Step 3: Click the link for the Round 1 allotment results.
Step 4: Log in using your NEET UG roll number and password.
Step 5: Download the NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 1 allotment letter for admissions.
About 1,15,900 MBBS seats are available across government, private, and other medical colleges in the country. This includes 775 medical colleges under the 15 per cent AIQ. These institutions include more than 400 government colleges, 32 private colleges, 13 government (society) colleges, 44 society-run colleges, and over 250 trust-run colleges.
