The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the recruitment of 590 teaching positions in Engineering and Polytechnic Colleges across the state. This recruitment drive includes vacancies for Principal and Associate Professor roles under the Department of Science, Technology, and Technical Education. Of the 590 total vacancies, 539 are for Associate Professors and 51 are for Principals.
Interested candidates can apply online through the official BPSC website — bpsconline.bihar.gov.in. The application process for Associate Professor positions will commence on August 18, 2025, and conclude on September 12, 2025. The registration process for principal positions in Government Polytechnic and Government Women Polytechnic Institutes will commence on August 12 and close on September 9.

Candidates applying for the Associate Professor role must be at least 30 years old. For Principal positions, the minimum age requirement is 37 years. There is no maximum age limit for either of the positions.

— Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates of Bihar: Rs 25
— All female candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar (reserved/unreserved): Rs 25
— Handicapped candidates (with 40% or more disability): Rs 25
— All other candidates: Rs 100
