The SBI PO Prelims exam was held on August 4 and 5, 2025. Candidates are now eagerly anticipating the release of the SBI PO Prelims Exam Result 2025, which is expected to be out anytime soon. Media reports suggest that the result may be announced by August 2025. Once available, the result will be accessible on sbi.co.in.
The SBI PO recruitment process comprises three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview, which includes a Psychometric Test and Group Exercises. The Prelims is a qualifying stage that shortlists candidates for the Mains exam. This year, over 6 lakh candidates appeared for the prelims exam.
Initially, the SBI PO preliminary exam was scheduled online for August 2, 4, and 5, 2025, at various centres across the country. However, all shifts for the August 2nd exam were cancelled, and the exam was only conducted on August 4th and 5th.
The prelims paper was worth 100 marks, comprising three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. There is a negative marking of one-fourth marks for each incorrect answer.
How To Check SBI PO Prelims Result 2025:
Step 1. Visit the official website – sbi.co.in.
Step 2. Click on ‘Current Openings’ in the ‘Careers’ section.
Step 3. Select ‘Recruitment of Probationary Officers 2025’ (Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2025-26/04).
Step 4. Click on ‘Download Preliminary Exam Result for Exam held on August 4th and 5th, 2025’.
Step 5. Enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password.
Step 6. Check your roll number in the result PDF and download it. If your qualifying status is ‘Qualified’, you are eligible for the Mains exam.
SBI PO Prelims Result 2025: Cutoff Marks
The expected cut-off marks for the prelims, out of a total of 100 marks, is:
General: 68
OBC: 65
EWS: 64
SC: 59
ST: 53
SBI received approximately 6,57,850 applications for SBI PO 2025, and the preliminary exam was conducted for 541 vacancies. About ten times the number of candidates in the prelims will be shortlisted for the mains, making the selection process highly competitive. The SBI PO Mains Exam 2025 schedule will be released after the prelims result announcement. A total of 541 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment drive.
