South Indian cotton yarn faces pressure, prices down in Tiruppur
Cotton yarn prices eased in south India due to weak demand, with Tiruppur rates falling ₹1–2 per kg and Mumbai remaining steady but under heavy discounting.
Mills and stockists are cutting prices to clear inventory as garment exports remain uncertain.
Gujarat cotton prices also slipped ₹1,000 per candy, pressured by slow mill demand and aggressive re-selling of CCI stocks.
