Bihar Post Matric Scholarship: The Education Department has issued an official notification and provided clear guidelines to students and educational institutions.

The application process for the Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2024-25 will commence on August 25. This scholarship will be offered to students of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, and Extremely Backward Class. The application deadline is set for September 25. The Education Department has issued an official notification and provided clear guidelines to students and educational institutions.
According to the information, applications will be accepted under the Scheduled Caste Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, Scheduled Tribe Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, Chief Minister Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme, and Chief Minister Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class Post-Entry Scholarship Scheme 2024.
Applications can only be submitted online. Separate portals are available for students of different categories. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students will apply at scstpmsonline.bihar.gov.in, while Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class students will apply at pmsonline.bihar.gov.in. The responsibility for verification has been assigned to the concerned educational institutions, which can log in at instpmsonline.bihar.gov.in.
The education department has emphasised that no application should be left pending. Once an application is received on the portal, it will be scrutinized and verified on time at the institute level. If any application is left pending without reason, the concerned institute will bear full responsibility.

Eligibility Criteria For Post Matric Scholarship
The student should be a citizen of India and belong to SC/ST category. He or she must have passed the previous exam. The family annual income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh annually. The scholarship will include reimbursement of tuition fees, maintenance allowance/ hostel allowance, book allowance, thesis typing allowance, etc.
The district education department has also advised students to submit their applications with all necessary documents before the deadline. Students who do not possess essential documents like an Aadhar card, bank account, and income certificate should prepare them in advance. The department has stated that late applications or forms with incomplete documents will not be accepted.
