German Julian Weber ruled the roost in Zurich on Thursday in the Final of the Diamond League as he registered multiple 90m plus throws to seal the top spot as Indian javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra finished second.
Weber opened his day with a PB of 91.37m before bettering it on his second attempt with 91.51m, while Chopra saved his best for last with an attempt of 85.01m to come in second.

Chopra started his event with 84.35m, before following it up with 82.00m. However, the double Olympic medallist posted three foul throws on the trot as Weber topped the charts.
Chopra maintained his streak of finishing in the top two in four successive seasons of Diamond League as he finished second for the third time on the bounce after having it clinched it four years ago.
Keshorn Walcott finished third with his effort of 84.95m to pip Anderson Peters to the podium as the athlete from Granada came in fourth with his best on the day of 82.06. Kenyan Julius Yego posted 82.01m while Andrian’s best of 81.81m placed him only ahead of last-placed home hope of Simon Wieland.
