Premier League champions Liverpool aced their test against title-aspirants Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday in a blockbuster clash between the heavyweights in the English top-flight, as Dominik Szoboszlai provided the telling touch.

The sides were evenly matched in a high-stakes game that called on the versatile midfielder, who has been deployed in the right-back role temporarily, curled a delightful free-kick from long rage as the ball found its way in past Arsenal custodian David Raya and in off the post.
The Hungarian, who also produced a sublime dummy in his side’s encounter against Newcastle leading up to the crucial winner in a thrilling 3-2 victory, continued his scintillating touch for Arne Slot’s Reds.
“I took a risk. I was confident in myself, so I tried it and finally”, Szoboszlai said opening up on his decision to go for the jugular with the set piece from way out.
“I should mention Trent. He was taking the free kicks because, obviously, he has an unbelievable shot. But finally I could have my chance and I did it,” the Hungarian said reflecting on grabbing his chance at taking the set-pieces for the Reds following the departure of Englishman Trent Alexander-Arnold to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer.
“I had to take a risk and shoot it a little bit harder because I know Raya likes to jump behind the wall and, of course, he’s an unbelievable goalkeeper. So if I think it goes a little bit more inside, he saves it.”
The win helped Liverpool remain perfect in the ongoing season with 9 points from three outings thus far, while Arsenal slumped to their first defeat of the season after a couple of wins on the bounce in the opening weeks.
