The last SSC exam was held in 2016. After nearly 9 years, the School Service Commission is once again conducting the teacher recruitment exam. This year’s SSC written exam for teacher recruitment will take place on September 7 and 14. Approximately 5,65,000 candidates will sit for the 9th-10th and 11th-12th class recruitment exams. The exam will be administered at 636 centres across the state, with special restrictions on OMR sheets this year.
There are a total of 23,212 vacant posts for the 9th and 10th grades, and 12,514 vacancies for the 11th and 12th grades. In Kolkata alone, the exam will be held at 41 centres. On the upcoming Sunday, 3,19,650 candidates will take the written exam for the 9th and 10th teacher recruitment. On September 14, as many as 2,54,000 candidates will appear for the 11th and 12th recruitment exam.
Strict rules have been set for the examination. Candidates must enter the exam centre by 10 am. The SSC has already sent guidelines to each district. In this written exam, candidates will be allowed to take a carbon copy of their OMR sheets. Any additional comments or drawings on the OMR, other than the answers, may lead to the cancellation of the exam.
Candidates must download their admit cards and carry it to the exam as without it they will not be allowed inside the exam halls. Anyone with issues regarding their admit cards must carry their Aadhaar cards as well.

Step 1: Visit the official website at westbengalssc.com.
Step 2: Enter your user ID and password.
Step 3: Click on the link to download the WB SSC admit card 2025, when out.
Step 4: Hit download.
Step 5: Print a copy of the admit card for future reference.
What Not To Carry?
Candidates are prohibited from bringing smartwatches, calculators, or any electronic gadgets into the exam centres. Each room will have a wall clock, and CCTV cameras are mandatory in all exam centres. The government has issued district-by-district guidelines, stating that these test centres will be supervised by deputy magistrate-level officers.
