Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has revealed his pet dog is in coma after again catching pneumonia.

Lewis Hamilton has revealed his beloved dog Roscoe is in a coma after being rushed to the hospital with a second bout of pneumonia. Hamilton said Roscoe’s heartbeat stopped for a while being treated by the vets.
“Please keep Roscoe in your thoughts. I want to keep you all updated. Roscoe caught pneumonia again and was struggling to breathe,” Hamilton posted on Instagram. “He was admitted into hospital and sedated to calm him while they did checks on him and during the process his heart stopped.”
Hamilton then added that the vets are unsure if Roscoe will wake from the coma. The seven-time F1 world champion urged his followers to keep praying for the dog’s well-being.
“They managed to get a heartbeat back and now he’s in a coma. We don’t know whether he will wake from this. Tomorrow we’ll try to wake him up. I’m by his side and want to thank you all for your prayers and support,” the Briton concluded.
The concerning development comes just a day after Hamilton told his followers about “scary few hours” while pleading with them to “keep Roscoe in your thoughts and prayers.”
Roscoe the bulldog was diagnosed with pneumonia in April. This following which he’s been undergoing treatment.
“This is a time where every time I get a text message from the lady who looks after him, my heart stops for a second. Because I’m thinking, ‘What’s next?’ But he’s fine now, fortunately. He is doing well. He’s 12 and a half years old, so he’s an old boy and it’s unusual for them to live that long,” Hamilton had said.
The pooch, who was adopted by the F1 superstar in 2013, often accompanies Hamilton to F1 races around the globe and is a big hit with the users on social media. On Instagram, Roscoe has over 1.3 million followers.
Hamilton Pulls Out Of Ferrari Event
Hamilton, who drives for Ferrari, has reportedly pulled out of a Formula 1 testing event. No official reason has been given behind his decision, though.
