In a post on the social media platform X, Deedy Das mentioned that each founder of these companies was part of the same Computer Science club at a high school in Delhi.

Debarghya Das, widely known as Deedy Das, a partner at the Menlo Park-based Venture Capital (VC) fund Menlo Ventures, recently highlighted that the founders of several companies valued at over $100 million, established in the past decade, were members of a Computer Science club in a non-American high school. These companies include Cartesia, Inception Labs, General Catalyst CVF, Wispr Flow, Affinity, Snapdeal, Sugar, boAt, Mirage, and Fulcrum.
In a post on the social media platform X, Das mentioned that each founder of these companies was part of the same Computer Science club at a high school in Delhi. The post, which at the time had more than 485,000 views and over 1,600 likes, stated that the founders were part of the Exun Clan in Delhi Public School, RK Puram.

2023 — AI voice models company Cartesia, founded by Karan Goel, last valued between $500 million to $1 billion. Goel graduated from IIT Delhi.
2024 — Diffusion-based AI models company Inception Lab, founded by Aditya Grover, last valued at over $250 million. Grover is also an alumnus of IIT Delhi.
