BSSC CGL 4 Recruitment 2025: The Assistant Branch Officer vacancies have been increased from 1,064 to 1,406, showing a rise of 342 positions.

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission has increased the vacancies for the BSSC CGL-4 recruitment and the Office Attendant Recruitment 2025. The CGL-4 recruitment vacancies have risen from 1,541 to 1,883. The Assistant Branch Officer vacancies have been increased from 1,064 to 1,406, showing a rise of 342 positions. The Office Attendant Recruitment 2025 originally had 4,388 vacancies, now increased to 5,131.
The last date to apply for the Office Attendant and BSSC CGL-4 recruitment was November 21, 2025. The deadline to submit the completed application is November 24, 2025.
BSSC CGL-4 Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognised university. The age limit for this recruitment is 18 to 37 years. Unreserved women receive a three-year age relaxation, OBC/OBC candidates also receive a three-year age relaxation, and SC, ST candidates receive a five-year age relaxation.
Matriculation from a recognised board or institution is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum age limit is 37 years for general category candidates, 40 years for backward and extremely backward class candidates, 40 years for general category female candidates, and 42 years for SC and ST candidates.
BSSC CGL-4 Recruitment: Selection Process
The BSSC has announced that an objective-type examination will be conducted to shortlist candidates if the number of applications exceeds 40,000.
Following the preliminary examination, BSSC will select candidates for the mains examination, equal to five times the number of available vacancies, with a separate notification for this phase.
The preliminary exam will cover General Studies, General Science and Mathematics, and the Mental Ability Test (Comprehension/Logic/Reasoning/Mental Ability). It will contain 150 questions, each carrying four marks. Candidates will have two hours and 15 minutes to finish the paper, with one mark deducted for each wrong answer.
The preliminary examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English. In case of any conflict, the English version of the questions will be considered authoritative. Guide books, photocopies, handwritten papers, notes, electronic devices, etc., will not be allowed inside the exam hall.
