The placement exercise for the 2025-26 academic session at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has commenced. IIT Roorkee has strategically partnered with a wide array of leading organizations across multiple sectors, fostering a comprehensive and well-rounded placement ecosystem, it stated in an official press release.
The institute has put a special emphasis on artificial intelligence, data analytics, semiconductor technology, sustainability, and core engineering domains this year. As the 1.1 slot of Day 1 concluded at 1 PM on December 1, IIT Roorkee students had already secured 8 international offers and 428 domestic offers. On December 2, as many as 116 companies offered 555 offers including PPO.
The number of offers recorded so far shows a significant increase compared to last year’s figures, the institute stated.
Some prominent recruiters on Day 1 included Amazon, American Express, Arcana, Bajaj Auto, BEL, BPCL, Centre for Development of Telematics, D. E. Shaw, Databricks, Eternal (Zomato), Flipkart, Google, Harness, HPCL, iRageCapital Advisory, Mastercard, Meesho, Microsoft, NatWest Group, Navi, NK Securities Research, NVIDIA, Oracle, Pace Stock Broking, Petronet LNG Limited, Plutus Research, Rubrik India Pvt. Ltd., Qualcomm, Quantbox, SAP Labs, SLB Engineering & Software, Sprinklr, Squarepoint Capital, Texas Instruments, and many more.
Among the recruiters on Day 2 included Accenture, Accenture Japan Ltd., Airamatrix Private Limited, American Express, Applied Materials, Barclays, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, DCM Shriram Ltd., Deutsche Bank, ERP.AI, Ethos, EXL Services Pvt. Ltd., Fischer Jordan, HiLabs, InfoEdge India Limited, Inito, InMobi Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Insurity Solutions India Private Limited, Jupiter Money, KLA-Tencor Software India Pvt.
