Students in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad are eagerly anticipating their winter break. As December begins, the cold in North India becomes more severe, resulting in extended school holidays each year. While the Education Department or the local District Magistrate has not yet announced the holiday dates for the 2025-26 academic year, based on past trends, it is expected that the winter vacation will start from Christmas.

Noida and Ghaziabad, part of the Delhi-NCR region, typically observe winter vacations from the last week of December to mid-January. These holidays give children a break from the harsh cold and dense fog. Historically, the winter vacation starts around Christmas or December 31 and lasts for approximately 10 to 15 days. Depending on the severity of the cold, the District Magistrate sometimes extends the winter holidays, as seen in previous years.

Expected Winter Vacation Dates In Delhi-NCR

Based on past academic patterns, two main dates are anticipated for the start of winter vacation in Noida and Ghaziabad:

Estimated start date 1: December 25, 2025 (coinciding with Christmas)

Estimated start date 2: December 31, 2025 (just before the New Year)

Holiday duration: Approximately 10 to 15 days.
