Kush Maini joins ART Grand Prix for 2026 F2 season

Kush Maini has confirmed that he will be competing in the 2026 Formula 2 (F2) season with a new team, ART Grand Prix. This will be his fourth season in F2, which sits a rung below F1 in the single-seater ladder.

Alongside this, the Indian racer will continue his role as Alpine F1 team’s reserve and test driver. He’ll also serve as Mahindra Racing’s Formula E reserve driver for the ongoing 2025-26 season.

Maini raced for Campos Racing, Invicta Racing and DAMS in his first three seasons in F2. The 2025 season didn’t necessarily go to plan for the Indian racer. While he did score a sprint race win at the Monaco GP, he only managed to finish P16 in the standings.

However, he’ll be returning for another crack at a strong finish next season, that too with new team – ART Grand Prix.  “I’m very happy to be joining such a historic team like ART Grand Prix. My first contacts with the engineers and mechanics have been very positive,” said Maini, who recently also participated  in the F1 post-season test for Alpine.

He added, “I appreciate the determination and the human atmosphere within the team, and I can’t wait to start working with them and see what we can achieve together.”

ART Grand Prix is one of the most prominent teams in junior single-seater racing. Some of the biggest names in motorsport – including Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Sebastian Vettel and George Russell – spent their formative years training with the team.

Kush has shown real speed and maturity in Formula 2, and his win in Monaco is a clear example of his potential. We are happy to welcome him to ART Grand Prix and look forward to working together in 2026,” said Sebastien Philippe, team principal of ART Grand Prix.
