2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650: Everything you need to know

Gets E20-compliant engine

The 2026 Ninja 650 continues with its 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, now updated to meet E20 fuel compatibility standards. The motor produces 68hp at 8,000rpm and 62.1Nm of torque at 6,700rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist-and-slipper clutch.

Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware consists of twin 300mm discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS.

Also carried over are the 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display that offers smartphone connectivity via Kawasaki’s Rideology app and the switchable Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system.

For 2026, the Ninja 650 will be available in a single familiar shade of Lime Green, but with fresh livery that was first introduced when this bike made its international debut a few months ago. Priced at Rs 7.91 lakh, the 2026 iteration costs Rs 14,000 more than last year but still undercuts rivals like the Honda CBR650R (Rs 11.16 lakh) by a fair margin.

All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
