Nikola Jokic didn’t just steal Christmas — he wrapped it, stamped it, and delivered it himself.

In a jaw-dropping overtime thriller, the Denver Nuggets’ unbothered genius authored one of the greatest stat lines the NBA has ever seen, pouring in 56 points, 16 rebounds and 15 assists to drag Denver past Minnesota 142–138.

That’s not just a triple-double. That’s a triple-double that broke the league.

With his monster night, the Serbian also became the fifth player in NBA history to drop a 50-piece on Christmas.

Jokic exploded for 18 points in overtime, the most ever scored in an extra period, snapping Stephen Curry’s 2016 record and turning crunch time into Jokic Time.

Regular season or playoffs — nobody has ever done more when the clock goes long.

And then there’s the history book entry that feels almost fictional:

55+ points, 15+ rebounds, 15+ assists.

One player. One game. Never happened before.

While Anthony Edwards lit up the night with 44 points and nearly stole the show — even forcing overtime with a twisting triple — the ending belonged entirely to the Joker.

After Minnesota opened OT on a 9–0 run, Jokic calmly took over, hitting everything, bullying the paint, splashing from deep, and living at the free-throw line (10-of-11) like it was a casual pickup run.

Denver did it short-handed too, missing three starters, but none of that mattered once Jokic decided the game was over. Jamal Murray chipped in 35, Tim Hardaway Jr. added 19, and by the third quarter, Jokic had already logged his 179th career triple-double, closing in on Oscar Robertson.

Edwards promised a Christmas performance. He delivered.

But The Joker delivered chaos, as he always does.
