A high-voltage drama unfolded in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba district on Friday after state minister Swatantra Dev Singh was allegedly confronted by MLA Brijbhushan Singh and taken to the district collectorate.
While the duo can be seen in a dramatic conversation, a physical altercation was reported between the security personnel of both leaders.
According to reports, the Jal Shakti Minister was in Mahoba to attend a program organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
The situation became tense as he was leaving the event when BJP MLA from Charkhari, Brijbhushan Singh, reportedly tried to stop him. The MLA urged the minister to meet with sarpanchs from villages where water supply was not ensured under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The request led to a tense altercation between the minister’s personal assistant and the MLA. Following this, both BJP leaders proceeded to the collectorate.
