JEE Main 2026 Registration: The last date to apply for session 2 will be February 25. The examination will be conducted from April 2 to April 9 in two shifts.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will tentatively open the registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 tomorrow, February 1, 2026, the NTA stated. Once the application link is activated, eligible candidates can apply online within the given deadline. Students must note that those who registered for the January 2026 session can also apply for the April attempt.

Documents Required For JEE Main 2026 Registration
Candidates should keep the following documents ready before applying:
— Class 10 marksheet or certificate
— Updated Aadhaar card
— Scanned passport-size photograph (as per NTA guidelines)
— Scanned signature
— Category certificate, if applicable
Candidates planning to appear for the April session should review memory-based question papers from the January attempt to understand the exam pattern and key topics. The exam consists of two papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for admission to UG engineering programmes (B.E./B.Tech.) at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), as well as universities and institutions supported or recognised by participating state governments.
JEE Main also serves as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses across the country.
