The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to start the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 soon. Based on previous trends, the NEET UG 2025 application process began on February 7, and the NEET UG 2024 registration commenced on February 6. Therefore, it is likely to be announced shortly this year as well. However, official confirmation from NTA is still awaited.
When released, the notification will be available on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The exam is scheduled for May. Candidates preparing for the exam should note that the syllabus has been released and it is based entirely on NCERT’s rationalised Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Topics removed last year remain excluded from this year’s syllabus. NTA advises students to study strictly according to the official syllabus, which includes detailed information on crucial chapters and the exam pattern for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
NEET UG 2026 Notification Soon: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants can apply for NEET if they have completed class 12 or its equivalent in English, physics, chemistry, and biology/biotechnology, with at least 50 per cent marks. The minimum age limit for the NEET UG 2023 exam is 17 years. There is no upper age limit. Previously, the upper age limit for NEET was 25 years for candidates in unreserved categories.

NEET UG 2026 Notification Soon: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Go to the official website of NTA – neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the NEET UG 2026 registration form link.
Step 3: Register yourself by entering a valid email ID and mobile number.
Step 4: Fill in the required information in the application form.
Step 5: Upload scanned copies of all necessary documents and submit the form.
Step 6: After submitting the form, pay the application fee to complete the process.
Step 7: Download and print the confirmation page/application form for future reference.
To pass NEET, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in physics, chemistry, and biology/biotechnology at the qualifying examination as per the regulations of NMC and DCI. Additionally, students need to pass each section separately.
