JEE Main 2026 Result: The National Testing Agency will soon announce the results for the first session of JEE Main 2026. Over 14 lakh students are eagerly awaiting the results which will be released by February 16. The final answer key will also be released along with the results. If any questions are found to be incorrect, they may be removed. If this occurs, students may receive bonus marks for those questions, or their overall score calculation may change.

Before the results are released, the NTA reviews candidates’ objections. If a candidate believes they have answered a question incorrectly, they can challenge it. The final list is prepared only after all these challenges are reviewed. This process ensures the JEE Main Result is absolutely accurate. Candidates are advised to have their roll number and date of birth ready so they can check their scorecard as soon as the result link is activated on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

When Will JEE Main Result Be Released?

According to the previous exam schedule released by NTA, the JEE Main results were scheduled to be released by February 12, 2026. However, a change has now been announced. According to the latest update, the JEE Main results can be uploaded to jeemain.nta.nic.in any time until February 16, 2026.

Rules For Removing Wrong Questions

Sometimes, some questions in engineering entrance exams are technically incorrect or have incorrect options. In such cases, the National Testing Agency drops those questions. Removing a question benefits all candidates who attempted the question. This significantly impacts their percentile and rank. The JEE Main 2026 final answer key will clarify how many questions have been removed this time.

How To Check JEE Main Result 2026?

After the JEE Main 2026 result is released, follow these steps to check it:

What To Do If You Have Low Marks In JEE Main?

Students whose scores did not meet expectations in the first session of JEE Main 2026 need not worry. They have the opportunity to appear in the second session of JEE Main, the registration of which is underway. The NTA selects a student’s best score from both sessions, and the final All India Rank (AIR) is determined based on that. Therefore, after checking the JEE Main results, students must focus on their shortcomings and prepare diligently for their next opportunity.
