The National Testing Agency will soon announce the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results. Candidates who participated in the JEE Main 2026 exam can download their scorecards from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to NTA, the results, initially scheduled for release on February 12, will now be available by February 16, 2026. To check your results, you will need your application number and date of birth.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam was conducted from January 21 to January 29, 2026. Along with the results, the NTA will also release the final answer key, enabling candidates to verify their scores accurately. The registration process for the JEE Main Session 2 exam has already commenced. The Session 2 exam is set to take place in April 2026.

JEE Main Result 2026: How To Check

Once the JEE Main results are released, you can download the scorecard by following these steps:

  • Visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the ‘JEE Main Session 1 Scorecard’ link on the homepage.
  • Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • Enter the security pin and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • The scorecard will appear on the screen. Download it for future reference.

Experts have noted that this year’s JEE Main paper was of moderate difficulty. The qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced for the General category is expected to be between 91 and 93 percentile. However, the official cutoff will be announced only after the Session 2 results are out.

Students whose scores did not meet their expectations in the first session of JEE Main 2026 need not worry. They have the chance to appear in the second session of JEE Main, for which registration is ongoing. The NTA selects a student’s best score from both sessions, determining the final All India Rank (AIR) based on that. Therefore, after checking the JEE Main results, students should focus on their weaknesses and prepare thoroughly for their next opportunity.
