A total of 53,453 candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 41,872 appeared. Candidates who qualify will be eligible to seek admission to MBA, PGDM and other management programmes offered by participating institutes across the country on the basis of their CMAT scores.

As per the schedule, CMAT 2026 was conducted on January 25, 2026 in a single shift. The exam was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in 110 cities at 259 examination centres nationwide. Challenges received online were placed before the concerned Subject Experts for verification.
