Ahmedabad police have issued a traffic advisory ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Final. The city is expecting huge rush as people all across the country are gathering to watch the final match at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Owing to this, traffic movement on several roads near the stadium will be restricted or diverted, according to the Ahmedabad City Traffic Police. Check alternative route and official advisory here.
Taking to X, Ahmedabad Traffic police shared a traffic advisory and said, “Traffic passing through the specified route during the final match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup India-2026 at “Narendra Modi Stadium” is restricted/diverted for vehicular movement.”

Closed And Alternative Routes
Janpath T-Junction to Stadium Main Gate: Closed for all private vehicles.
Krupa Residency T-Junction to Motera Village T-Junction: Restricted access to manage huge rush.
Authorized Access Only: Only vehicles with valid ICC/Police parking passes, emergency services (Ambulances, Fire Brigade), and local residents with ID proof will be permitted on the aforementioned routes.
Recommended Alternative Routes
Authorities also issued the list of alternative routes for the commuters and fans to avoid heavy traffic.
From Tapovan Circle: Use the route via ONGC Crossroads – Visat T-Junction – Janpath T-Junction – AEC Powerhouse Crossroads – Prabodh Raval Circle.
From Krupa Residency: Divert through Sharan Status Crossroads – Bhat-Koteshwar Road toward Apollo Circle.
Officials have urged citizens to follow these routes to avoid the rush.
Ahead of the match, the security in the city has been beefed up. As per a report by PTI, over 3,000 police personnel, around 1,000 home guards, and three anti-drone systems will be deployed for security.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik on Saturday shared the details and said, “Tomorrow, a historic T20 World Cup final is going to be held here at the Narendra Modi Stadium. For this, all preparations have been completed by the police. For the security arrangements, we are deploying over 3,000 police personnel and around 1,000 home guards.”
