Lamborghini adds to India’s rising luxury car personalisation programme – Introduction

Recent deliveries of bespoke Revueltos to customers in India showcases the demand for the Italian marque’s in-house ‘Ad Personam’ personalisation programme, Lamborghini claims. The luxury Italian marque recently delivered three highly personalised examples of the Revuelto to customers based in geographies across the country. While Lamborghini’s India sales dropped slightly in 2025, deliveries of its flagship supercar featuring unique options are indicative of clientele that follow the brand’s bespoke customisation programme.

  1. A niche but growing micro-segment
  2. Three bespoke Revueltos delivered across three regions
  3. Brands offering such exclusivity also include Maserati and Mercedes-Benz

One of these customised examples that has been delivered to a customer in Mumbai has been optioned with the brand’s Ad Personam carbon-fibre package, with Lamborghini claiming it to be the “most comprehensively specified carbon-fibre Revuelto in the country”. The one delivered to Northern India sports an exclusive Ad Personam colour theme on the outside and a Classica Ad Personam interior. Finally, East india received its first-ever Lamborghini Revuelto in the form of a highly personalised Giallo Auge example from the brand’s personalisation programme.

While personalisation programmes have been prevalent among luxury car buyers globally, this trend is now gaining steam in India as well. Lamborghini aside, another brand that has welcomed demanding well-heeled customers from India include Maserati. In early-March 2026, the Maserati Fuoriserie programme delivered highly personalised examples of the Grecale GT SUV and GranCabrio Trofeo convertible from its Maserati Fuoriserie Futura and Fuoriserie Corse Collections, respectively.

However, it is not just niche Italian brands that offer personalisation options. Mercedes-Benz provides deep-pocketed customers of top-end models like the S-Class, GLS and G-Class the opportunity to indulge themselves a little more when configuring their cars. The German luxury automaker has its Manufaktur programme, through which a buyer can pick from a far wider variety of colours, wheels, interior upholstery and materials, etc. In fact, about three-fourth of all high-end Mercedes models sold in India are available with the marque’s customisation programme, proving that there is enough demand within this micro-segment, and perhaps potential for further growth.

Sharing his opinion on the recently delivered personalised examples of the Grecale and GranCabrio was Maher Abdalla, Managing Director, Maserati Middle East, Africa, Turkey and India; “Fuoriserie represents the highest expression of Maserati. These two commissions in New Delhi and Ahmedabad reflect how Indian clients are embracing true tailor-made luxury, transforming each car into a personal statement of design, craftsmanship and individuality.”
