Mercedes-Benz India has announced its second price hike in 2026, which will be effective from April 1. While model-specific increases are yet to be revealed, the German marque has said prices will be hiked by around 2 percent across its range. This announcement comes after the prices were already hiked in January 2026 by around 2 percent.

Rupee devaluation against the Euro is cited as the reason
Commenting on the price hike, Brendon Sissing, vice president of sales and marketing, said, “This decision is largely driven by continued forex volatility, particularly the sustained depreciation of the rupee against the euro, along with rising input costs. While we always strive to absorb cost pressures, some price adjustment becomes necessary to maintain business sustainability.”
As per the current pricing, the price tags are expected to be adjusted between Rs 89,000 and Rs 7.33 lakh, depending on the model. Mercedes-Benz’s most affordable model in India is the A-Class sedan, priced from Rs 44.45 lakh, while the AMG G63 (G-Class) is the most expensive model with a starting price of Rs 3.67 crore.
Back in January 2026, Mercedes-Benz attributed the price hike to the same rupee devaluation as it has done now. While these price hikes still do not entirely offset the benefits of the new GST rates introduced in September 2025, if the trend continues, it won’t take long for the prices to climb back to where they were during the old GST regime. For context, the new GST rates had decreased prices of some Mercedes-Benz models by around Rs 2.60 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
