KVS Admissions 2026: The online registration for admission to Class 1 and Balvatika (in selected KVs) in Kendriya Vidyalayas will begin at 10 am on March 20 and end on April 2.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will soon start the admission process for the 2026-27 academic year. According to the official notice, online registration for admission to Class 1 and Balvatika (in selected KVs) in Kendriya Vidyalayas will begin at 10 am on March 20 and end on April 2. Details about the admission process are available on kvsangathan.nic.in and admission.kvs.gov.in.
The minimum age for admission to Class 1 is 6 years as of March 31. Age reckoning for all classes will also be as of March 31, 2026. Seat reservations will follow the KVS Admission Guidelines 2026-27. The age criteria for Balvatika-1, 2, and 3 are 3 to 4 years, 4 to 5 years, and 5 to 6 years respectively, as of March 31. Eligibility criteria and reservation policies will be detailed in the official notification.
Registration for fresh admissions in Balvatika-2 and 3 (where online admissions are not available), Class 2 and above (except Class 11), will take place from April 2 at 10 am to April 8, 2026 up to 4 pm, in offline mode only, if vacancies exist. The completed form must be submitted to the Principal’s office in the respective KV.

- Proof of residence
- SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate
- Certificate of disability (CWSN)
- EWS / BPL certificate
- Service certificate of parent
- Transfer certificate of parent (if applicable)
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Admission: How To Apply
Registering on the portal: On successful registration, you will be assigned a unique Login Code. Please note down your unique Login Code carefully.
Filling and submitting the application: The Login Code obtained after registration must be used to log in and fill the online application form. You can indicate a choice of up to three different Vidyalayas in India, without any preference between Vidyalayas, in a single form.
Children of serving employees, grandchildren of serving employees, and grandchildren of retired employees will be given preference throughout the admission process and their schooling.
