The Los Angeles Lakers may be down and limping toward the playoffs. But as long as LeBron James is around, they’re never out of the fight.

Missing both Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, the Lakers delivered a statement 101-73 blowout win over the Phoenix Suns — powered, as usual, by their 41-year-old superstar.

History Made, Again

And in classic LeBron fashion, James didn’t merely lead but made history along the way.

With his second assist of the night, he crossed 12,000 career assists, becoming just the fourth player ever to hit that mark — and notably, the first non-guard to do so.

He now joins elite company: John Stockton (15,806), Chris Paul (12,552), and Jason Kidd (12,091).

The milestone moment? A full-court dime to DeAndre Ayton, who finished at the rim, much to the relief of coach JJ Redick.

Vintage LeBron Performance

The stat line was vintage LeBron: 26 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds, narrowly missing yet another triple-double.

And this isn’t a one-off. Just days earlier, he dropped 30 points, 15 assists, and nine rebounds against the Dallas Mavericks.

In fact, here’s a ridiculous stat: in NBA history, there have been 35 instances of players aged 38+ recording at least 25 points and 10 assists.

LeBron? He owns 34 of them.

‘Everything’ Mode Activated

With the Lakers short-handed, the burden on James has never been heavier, or clearer.

“Everything,” he said when asked what the team needs from him.

“Everything, so nothing changes for me. Just back to the old ways.”

The win keeps the Lakers firmly in the hunt for the No. 3 seed, whilst currently sitting fourth in the Western Conference at 52-29 with one game left in the regular season.
