JEE Main Results 2026: Kabeer Chhillar said he focused not just on the number of hours spent studying, but on his attention span and the overall quality of his learning.

Kabir Chhillar aims to join IIT Bombay to study CSE.
A native of Gurugram, Kabeer Chhillar, achieved the All India Rank 1 in JEE Main 2026 with a perfect 300 out of 300. It was not a stroke of luck, but the outcome of disciplined effort, meticulous planning, and unwavering faith in his teachers, he said.
The 17-year-old grew up in an academically oriented environment. His father, Mohit Chhillar, who too is an IITian, (IIT Kharagpur, 1997 batch, Electrical Engineering) is employed in a private company, and his mother, Priyanka Chhillar, a teacher in a private school. Kabeer had already demonstrated his academic strength by scoring 98 per cent in his 10th-grade examinations, building a solid base for his JEE preparation.
He developed a distinctive method of self-study, focusing not just on the number of hours spent studying, but on his attention span and the overall quality of his learning. He also took coaching from Allen Career Institute, Kota.
After every test, Kabeer stated he consistently carried out detailed self-analysis. He identified his weaknesses and worked intensively on those specific areas. Before each examination, he adjusted his study strategy to ensure he did not repeat past mistakes. Regular mock tests were a core part of his schedule, but what truly set him apart was the in-depth analysis he performed after each paper. This ongoing cycle of testing and reflection enabled him to steadily enhance both his accuracy and time management.

For Kabeer, conceptual clarity has always been essential. He deliberately avoided rote learning, instead aiming to genuinely understand every topic and apply that understanding to various kinds of problems. He divided his preparation into small, achievable goals and prepared crisp notes, making revision a continuous practice rather than a last-minute effort.
Looking to the future, Kabeer plans to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Bombay and later dreams of continuing his higher education at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His journey so far reflects not only academic excellence, but also maturity, and self-discipline.
