Tesla has unveiled a new 6-seater variant of the Model Y with a longer wheelbase. Called the Model Y L, it is the only AWD Tesla sold in India. Other than the extended wheelbase, it retains the overall design of its standard versions. The front comes with a blanked off finish for the grille, and a slim connected-LED DRL. There are LED headlamps and air curtains on the sides of the front bumper, along with a trapezoidal air vent lower down. From the side, the SUV gets smooth and curvy surfaces, a sloping fastback roofline and a new design for the 19-inch aero-optimised wheels. The rear gets a connected LED tail-lamp with a diffused lighting effect, a ducktail spoiler, Model Y badging, and a black finish for the bumper. Priced from Rs 62 lakh ex-showroom, the Model Y L gets a WLTP claimed range of 681km.
