Turkiye’s DEIK, Lithuania’s ALCCIC sign MoU for trade cooperation

The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkiye (DEIK) and the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (ALCCIC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further strengthen existing cooperation between the two countries, Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat recently announced on microblogging platform X.

Bolat and Lithuanian Minister of Economy and Innovation Edvinas Griksas, who co-chaired the ‘Türkiye–Lithuania Business Roundtable Meeting’ organised with the support of DEIK and ALCCIC during the second session of the Lithuania-Turkiye Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) in Istanbul, signed a bilateral cooperation agreement as well covering trade, investment, industry and innovation.

The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkiye and the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts have signed an MoU to strengthen existing cooperation between the two countries.
At the second session of the Lithuania-Turkiye Joint Economic and Trade Committee in Istanbul, both sides signed a cooperation agreement as well covering trade, investment, industry and innovation.

“We have thoroughly discussed the expectations and plans of our business communities for the upcoming period,” Bolat wrote.

“We have held comprehensive exchanges of views on how to enable stronger participation of Turkish overseas contracting services sector in upcoming infrastructure and superstructure projects in Lithuania, particularly in initiatives such as Rail Baltica and the Southport Project in Klaipeda,” he said.

Both sides aim to raise bilateral trade volume to $2 billion.
