Royal Enfield is preparing a major expansion of its motorcycle portfolio in FY2027, with plans to introduce five all-new models alongside updates to 13 existing motorcycles, as competition in the midsize segment intensifies.

Alongside the 5 new models, the brand is expected to update 13 existing models
Royal Enfield is set to expand beyond its existing 650cc platform with the introduction of larger-capacity motorcycles, marking one of the brand’s biggest product offensives in recent years.
Our sister publication, Autocar Professional, has learnt that the company is planning to launch five all-new motorcycles this financial year, including the Bullet 650, Himalayan 440, Continental GT750, Himalayan 750 and Scram 450. Alongside these launches, Royal Enfield is also expected to update 13 existing models across its portfolio.
The upcoming Continental GT750 and Himalayan 750 will take the brand into a higher-engine category above its current 650 Twin platform. These motorcycles are expected to strengthen Royal Enfield’s position in the premium motorcycle space while also creating a clearer upgrade path for existing 350cc customers.
The move comes at a time when competition in the midsize motorcycle segment is growing rapidly. Brands such as Harley-Davidson, Honda and Triumph Motorcycles have been expanding their presence in the segment, while domestic players such as Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motor Company are also increasing focus on premium motorcycles.
At the same time, Bajaj Auto has intensified competition in Royal Enfield’s core territory through its partnership with Triumph Motorcycles and the launch of new 350cc motorcycles.
Despite rising competition, Royal Enfield continues to dominate the 500-800cc motorcycle segment in India, where its 650 Twin range currently accounts for over 90 percent of sales in the category.
The company also reported record volumes in FY2026. Total dispatches crossed the 12 lakh mark for the first time, while production rose 23 percent year-on-year to 12.4 lakh units. Domestic sales accounted for around 11.07 lakh units, while exports crossed 1.3 lakh units.
According to sources, Royal Enfield is aiming for double-digit domestic growth in FY2027 and is targeting production of around 13.2 lakh units during the financial year.
Alongside its internal combustion engine portfolio, Royal Enfield has also entered the EV space with the recently unveiled Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycle.
With multiple launches planned across segments and powertrains, Royal Enfield appears set to further strengthen its position in India’s growing midsize motorcycle market.
