Mini Cooper S GP Inspired Edition: What’s new?
Gets ‘GP Inspired’ branding on the exterior and interior
The Cooper S GP Inspired Edition sports a ‘Legend Grey’ paint job, with a ‘Chilli Red’ finish on the roof and mirror caps for a sharp contrast. The front end features a JCW-spec bumper and grille with a “John Cooper Works’ emblem. The GP Inspired Edition adds red JCW-branded winglets on the sides of the bumper, a red tow strap and a red-and-grey stripe on the bonnet.
The sides feature the same red and grey stripe as seen on the bonnet, but come with ‘GP Inspired’ branding. Bringing a touch of exclusivity is a ‘1 of 30’ branding on the C-pillar. Also, the JCW-spec 18-inch alloy wheels have ‘Chilli Red’ centre caps. There’s also a JCW-spec roof-mounted wing, winglets on the sides and rear, and a rear diffuser. Three modes for the DRLs and the LED tail-lamps bring unique welcome/goodbye animations for each mode.
The cabin of the GP Inspired Edition borrows elements from the JCW Pack trim. This includes a dashboard with a black theme and red accents, a JCW-spec steering wheel and recycled, knitted fabric lining for the dashboard and door panels. The JCW Sport Seats are finished in ‘Vescin Black’ with contrast red stitching and the door sills feature ‘GP Inspired’ branding. Exclusivity extends to the floor mats, too, which get ‘1 of 30’ branding.
Features include a 9.4-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic glass roof, heated steering wheel, Harman Kardon sound system, powered driver seat with memory, head-up display, connected car tech, ambient lighting, wireless phone charger, and OTA updates. Safety features include level 1 ADAS, rear view camera, and stability control, to name a few.
