After the Punch EV facelift, the next Tata offering to be updated is the Tiago hatchback, which is set for a launch tomorrow. The manufacturer has already revealed the Tiago’s exterior and interior, along with the feature updates. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2026 Tata Tiago.
1. What is the expected price of the 2026 Tata Tiago?
Tiago prices are expected to start at around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom)
Tata will reveal the prices of the 2026 Tiago on May 28, 2026. It is expected to cost slightly more than the outgoing model, which ranges from Rs 4.60 lakh to Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
2. What are the exterior design changes on the 2026 Tata Tiago?
A sharper design with new lighting elements and fresh alloys
With the 2026 model, Tata has thoroughly redesigned the front and rear sections of the Tiago. It now gets sleeker LED headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The grille and the lower section of the bumper are black for contrast. The car also gets new pixel-shaped LED fog lamps and a camera pod on the bumper.
In profile, it gets redesigned alloy wheels, black wheel arches and camera pods on the black outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs). The connected LED tail-lights are also new, adding to the facelifted Tiago’s fresh look. The rear bumper has a more prominent black section and houses the reverse light.
3. What are the interior design changes on the 2026 Tata Tiago?
Gets a more upright dashboard with a free-standing driver’s display
Tata has also thoroughly updated the Tiago’s interior with the 2026 facelift. While it continues with a black-and-light grey theme, the dashboard is more upright and features a new free-standing driver’s display. It also gets a slightly revised 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. The infotainment system, however, appears to be from the older Tiago.
The ‘TIAGO’ lettering on the centre part of the dashboard has moved lower down to the climate control panel, which gets the same rotary knobs and toggle switches.
4. Does the 2026 Tata Tiago get any new features?
A 360-degree camera and dual wireless phone chargers are new for the Tiago
Tata has confirmed that the 2026 Tiago is equipped with a 360-degree camera and dual wireless phone chargers. The CNG-AMT powertrain will get paddleshifters. The compact hatchback is also expected to get a 6-speaker sound system, which Tata had discontinued with the MY25 update. Everything else, including automatic climate control with rear vents, a manually adjustable inside rearview mirror (IRVM) and a cooled glove box, will likely be carried forward.
The 2026 Tiago is also expected to offer 6 airbags as standard, 4 more than the outgoing model, and continue with the tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear parking sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
5. What engine options will the 2026 Tata Tiago offer?
Likely to get the same petrol and CNG engines as the older Tiago
Tata will likely offer the 2026 Tiago with the same powertrain options as the older model. These include an 86hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 75.5hp CNG option with dual-cylinder tech, both of which are offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
6. What cars will the 2026 Tata Tiago rival?
2026 Tiago will continue to rival the similarly priced Maruti hatchbacks
Considering the updates, Tata is expected to raise the Tiago prices, but even after the revision, the 2026 Tiago will continue to lock horns with the Maruti Wagon R and Maruti Celerio.
