ED Raids At Vijayan’s House: Former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday accused the BJP-led union government of targeting opposition leaders through the Enforcement Directorate after the agency conducted searches at his residences in connection with the Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) case.
While speaking to reporters after the seraches, the Kerala Leader of Opposition claimed that Congress is supporting ED action against opposition parties, saying that ED raids at his residence must have given a “great satisfaction” to the Congress leader.
“For a long time, the ED has wanted to conduct a search at my house. I feel that this search would give great satisfaction to certain people, especially to someone like Rahul Gandhi,” Vijayan said.

Vijayan also criticised the Congress, alleging that the party supported ED action against political rivals.
“The Congress position is that the ED’s intrusion against parties other than their own should continue,” he claimed.
He claimed that Rahul Gandhi had publicly asked why his house had not been raided and why he had not been arrested.
The senior CPI(M) leader accused the BJP government of using central agencies to deliberately target opposition parties across the country.
“The BJP government has always been carrying out deliberate attacks against opposition leaders in the country. Strong protests against it have risen across the country,” he said.
ED Raids Vijayan’s House
The Enforcement Directorate earlier today conducted searches at multiple locations across Kerala, including the rented residence of former Chief Minister and current Leader of Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan.
The raids were conducted in connection with the politically sensitive Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) case linked to financial dealings involving his daughter Veena Thaikkandiyil’s firm Exalogic Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
The central agency also conducted checks at Vijayan’s rented residence in Thiruvananthapuram, where he had shifted recently.
Veena Thaikkandiyil is also understood to be residing there.
The searches were linked to the investigation surrounding Exalogic Solutions, the IT firm owned by Veena.
The raids come just a day after the Kerala High Court refused to quash the ED’s investigation into CMRL, dealing a major setback to the company and its officials.
