Dusit International has expanded the pipeline of its lifestyle brand, ASAI Hotels, with the signing of hotel management agreements for two new properties in Southern ThailandASAI Hat Yai and ASAI Patong Phuket.The new-build hotels are scheduled to open in 2028 and 2029, respectively, and are part of the company’s strategy to grow the ASAI brand in destinations known for their cultural appeal, culinary experiences and strong tourism demand.Launched with the opening of ASAI Bangkok Chinatown in 2020, the brand has since expanded to include ASAI Bangkok Sathorn and ASAI Kyoto Shijo in Japan. The company said the growing pipeline reflects increasing demand for lifestyle-focused accommodation that combines comfort and convenience with authentic local experiences.Chanin Donavanik, Group CEO, Dusit International, said, “Today’s travellers are increasingly looking beyond traditional hotel stays. ASAI Hotels was created with these evolving expectations in mind, and the signing of ASAI Hat Yai and ASAI Patong Phuket demonstrates our confidence in the long-term potential of Thailand’s lifestyle hospitality segment.”Located on Samchai Road in Hat Yai’s city centre, ASAI Hat Yai will mark the brand’s entry into one of Southern Thailand’s key commercial and tourism hubs. The 116-room hotel will cater to solo travellers, couples, families and groups, with accommodation options including bunk-bed rooms.Facilities at the property will include an all-day dining restaurant, café and bar, co-working spaces, meeting facilities and a fitness centre.ASAI Patong Phuket will be located in the heart of Patong, around five minutes from Patong Beach and approximately one hour from Phuket International Airport. The property will feature around 85 guestrooms, a ground-floor café and social space based on the brand’s Eat/Work/Play concept, a rooftop swimming pool and fitness facilities.The company is also preparing for the international expansion of the brand. ASAI Gamuda Cove in Malaysia is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026, marking the brand’s debut in the country. Further expansion plans include ASAI Oslob Cebu, expected to open in late 2027, and ASAI Camaya Coast in the Philippines in late 2028.ASAI Hotels is one of nine brands under Dusit Hotels and Resorts, the hospitality arm of Dusit International. The company’s portfolio spans 19 countries and comprises 50 hotels, alongside approximately 237 luxury villas managed under Elite Havens. More than 50 additional properties are currently in the development pipeline worldwide.
