Indian athletes will compete across five disciplines at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Sunday, July 26, with action lined up in bowls, boxing, weightlifting, swimming and artistic gymnastics.

India’s action on the day will start in bowls, with Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki facing Namibia’s Amanda Steenkamp and Diana Viljoen in the women’s pairs sectional play at the SEC Centre.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 1 pm IST.

At 2:15 pm IST, weightlifter Rishikanta Singh will compete in the men’s 60kg final at the SEC Armadillo. Later in the day, Tapan Mohanty will be in action in the men’s all-around gymnastics final, scheduled for 4:30 pm IST at The Arena.

In swimming, Dhakshan Shashikumar, Aryan Nehra, Srihari Natraj and Aneesh Gowda will feature in the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay heats at the Tollcross Swimming Centre, starting at 4:40 pm IST.

The quartet will look to bag a place in the final, which is scheduled for 1:56 am IST later in the day.

India’s lawn bowls campaign will continue in the evening, with Putul Sonowal taking on Malta’s Shaun James Parnis in the men’s singles sectional play at 7:15 pm IST.

Another key event on India’s schedule is the women’s 48kg weightlifting final, where Mirabai Chanu will be in action. The competition is all set to start at 6:45 pm IST at the SEC Armadillo.

The women’s bowls pair of Rupa and Pinki will also be in action at 10:05 pm IST against Amy Pharaoh and Sian Honnor of England in sectional play.

In a classic India vs Pakistan clash, boxer Jadumani Singh Mandengbam will take on Sumama Rehman in a men’s 55kg Round of 16 encounter at 11:45 pm IST.
