On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, textile and garment exports increased *.* per cent in July **** to $*.*** billion from the previous month. Yarn exports in the month increased *.* per cent in value to $***.*** million and rose *.* per cent to ***,*** tonnes.
On the import side, Vietnam’s cotton imports increased *.* per cent in January-July **** YoY to $*,***.*** million, while volumes increased *.* per cent to *,***,*** tonnes. Yarn imports totalled ***,*** tonnes, valued at $*,***.*** million, up by **.* per cent in value and *.* per cent in volume. Fabric imports, primarily from China, South Korea, and Taiwan, reached $*.*** billion, up *.* per cent YoY.
During July ****, the country imported ***,*** tonnes of cotton, valued at $***.*** million. Volume decreased *.* per cent but value inched up by *.* per cent on a MoM basis. Vietnam imported ***,*** tonnes of yarn valued at $***.*** million. Volume decreased *.* per cent and value dipped *.* per cent.
