Number of questions: The total number of questions has been reduced from 200 to 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Total marks: The maximum marks have been reduced from 800 to 720.
Time-locked sections: The question paper will be divided into five compulsory sections, with 36 questions in each section.
Time per section: Candidates will get 42 minutes to attempt each section. Once the allotted 42 minutes are over, the section will be automatically locked, and candidates will not be able to return to it.
When Will the NEET PG 2026 Result Be Released?
The NEET PG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted in a single shift on August 30, 2026. According to the announced schedule, NBEMS is expected to declare the NEET PG 2026 result by September 30, 2026.
Candidates should also note that Aadhaar authentication and biometric verification will be conducted at NEET PG examination centres. Therefore, candidates must report to their allotted centre strictly according to the reporting time mentioned on their admit card.
