Making black tea is not rocket science. But I want share my way of making black tea which I learned from my Perippa. One tip he gave me, is not to boil the tea after adding tea powder. I have been making black tea just like that from that day and it has never tasted bitter.

Black tea easy to make and is relatively healthy than sugar loaded milk tea. Some times I make black tea without adding any sweetener, it totally depends on the person you are making it for.

About Black Tea Recipe

Black tea is nothing but regular black tea brewed in water rather than milk. I am a black coffee drinker, I prefer to drink black tea occasionally. You can choose to have black tea with or without sugar totally to your preference.

You can add any sweetener of your choice, You can either add honey or brown sugar as well. If you prefer spices in your black tea, you can add a piece of cardamom, ginger, cinnamon into the tea. For making lemon black tea, add a squeeze of lemon juice once tea is made.

Ok, Now coming to the tips. You should never boil the black tea once the tea powder is added. You just add tea powder once the water comes to a full boil. Turn off the heat and cover the sauce pan with lid to steep the tea.

Also for making black tea, you don’t need too much tea powder. Just a teaspoon if enough for 2 serving of black tea.

1)For making black tea, you need regular Indian black tea.

2)If you are making for 2 people, take 2 cups of water in a sauce pan and place on heat. Bring it to a full boil.

3)For 2 cups of water, add in 1 teaspoon of black tea powder.

3)As soon as you add the black tea powder, don’t let it boil. Immediately take it off the heat.

4)Cover the sauce pan with a lid. Let this steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

5)Now the tea has brewed.

6)Now to serve the black tea. Add a teaspoon of brown sugar, honey or regular sugar. You can skip the sweetener completely.

7)Now place a tea strainer over the cup. Pour the hot brewed tea over the sugar.

8) Discard the sediments in the strainer. Mix the sugar into the tea.

9)Serve black tea hot.
