The Bihar government has launched ‘Vidya Sahi’, a 24×7 interactive learning support programme aimed at providing academic assistance to students across the state. The initiative will be implemented in 700 model schools across all 38 districts of Bihar and is expected to benefit nearly 3 lakh students.
The programme will provide students with access to live tutor support and digital study materials, helping them prepare for school examinations as well as competitive entrance tests. Students preparing for the Bihar Board examinations, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be among the key beneficiaries.
What is Bihar’s ‘Vidya Sahi’ Programme?
‘Vidya Sahi’ has been designed as an interactive academic support platform through which students can seek assistance from tutors whenever they face difficulties with their studies. The 24×7 model is intended to ensure that students can access learning support beyond regular classroom hours.
The programme will initially cover students of Classes 9 and 10, along with students studying in the Science stream in Classes 11 and 12. Along with live academic assistance, students will receive access to digital learning resources for their examination preparation.

The announcement regarding ‘Vidya Sahi’ was made by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chowdhury during a review meeting with the Education Department. The meeting was held at the ‘Sankalp’ auditorium at Lok Sevak Awas.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that state-run model schools are managed effectively and maintain a distinctive academic environment. He also stressed the need for regular monitoring of the education system.
The review will cover areas such as teacher availability, student attendance, teaching quality and learning outcomes. Regular inspections and assessments are expected to help authorities identify gaps and improve the functioning of model schools.
