A cab journey from Noida to Lucknow took an unexpected turn after the passenger found himself taking over the driving duties. What made the moment stand out was not the change in plans but the reason behind it and the response that followed. The incident was shared on Instagram by Shiv Mishra, also known as David, and has since received attention from social media users.
Driver had been driving since the previous day
Mishra said the cab driver had been driving since the previous day and was extremely tired. Seeing his condition, Mishra decided to let him rest in the back seat and drive the cab himself. In the video, Mishra can be seen behind the wheel, with his brother sitting beside him and the driver resting in the back.Explaining what happened, Mishra said, “So guys, right now I’m travelling from Noida to Lucknow. I had booked a cab, but the driver had been driving since yesterday and was really tired. You can see him sleeping in the back. So, in situations like this, I don’t think you should get angry with the driver. Instead, I took over the wheel myself. My brother is sitting right next to me. Say hi, bro! So today, I’m driving to Lucknow myself. If something like this has ever happened to you, do let me know.”ID@undefined Caption not available.
Mishra says anger would not help
Mishra said he could have demanded that the driver continue simply because he had booked the cab. Instead, he chose to look at the situation differently.“I mean, in a situation like this, there’s no point getting angry and saying, ‘I booked the cab, so you have to drive me all the way. Keep driving.’ Instead, I just decided to take it as an adventure and enjoy the journey. So yeah, I’m on my way to Lucknow now, driving on the Noida-Lucknow highway,” he said. The video also carried the message, “Be kind to everyone.”
‘Never thought my cab ride would turn into this’
Mishra summed up the unexpected experience in the caption accompanying the video.“Never thought my cab ride would turn into this”, he wrote.
