The 54-year-old wrestler shared a hospital photo on Instagram on Monday, thanked everyone who checked on him, and then jokingly accused Damian Priest of trying to kill him. Truth wrote that he was okay and appreciated the support. He also promised to return, even when he described the incident in his usual dramatic way. The injury happened in their October 16 match, which ended with the referee stopping the contest.
R-Truth Blames Damian Priest While Sharing His Hospital Update
Truth posted a picture of himself in a hospital gown beside an MRI machine. First he thanked everyone who sent get-well wishes, with a heartfelt message, and then went to his usual comedy.
“I AM OK, Thank you ALL for your support, concerns and get well wishes,” Truth wrote on Instagram. “It truly feels amazing to feel and be loved. I’m grateful for you all.”
The next line gave the update its comedic twist. Truth joked about October 16 and put all the blame on Priest.
“On 10/16/2026 I almost passed away… Damien Priest tried to kill me… I didn’t think he was ThAt serious… But ok, I’ll be back.”
