The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has revised the date of one paper of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026. The examination originally scheduled for November 4 will now be conducted on November 21, 2026. The decision comes as the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) exams are also scheduled for November 4, potentially creating a clash for candidates appearing for multiple teaching exams.
Bihar Board Chairman Tyagarajan announced the change. The board has clarified that the entire STET examination has not been postponed. The remaining papers will be held according to the existing schedule.
Why Has the Bihar STET 2026 Exam Date Changed?
The date has been revised to avoid a clash with the KVS and NVS examinations scheduled for November 4, 2026. Candidates preparing for multiple teacher recruitment examinations could otherwise have faced difficulties appearing for exams scheduled on the same day.
To address this issue, BSEB has moved the STET paper scheduled for November 4 to November 21. The revised date may provide relief to candidates affected by the scheduling conflict.
Has the Entire Bihar STET Exam Been Postponed?
No. Only the paper scheduled for November 4 has been rescheduled. The Bihar STET 2026 examination will begin on October 25 and continue according to the existing timetable, with the affected paper now scheduled for November 21.
Candidates whose papers fall on dates other than November 4 should follow their original examination schedule. They are advised to check the official website and their admit cards for any further updates.
