Actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan marked their 52nd wedding anniversary on Tuesday. Amitabh shared vintage wedding photographs on his blog and expressed gratitude to fans for their wishes.

On his blog, Amitabh Bachchan shared wedding photos with Jaya Bachchan from their special day, capturing candid moments of the couple performing rituals and conversing. Amitabh is seen in a white ethnic outfit, while Jaya wore a red saree. Alongside the photos, he wrote, “To all that wish Jaya and me for the Wedding Anniversary June 3, 2025, my gratitude and love …”
He also wrote, “Another day,” and included a quote by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, “Anwarat samay ki chakki chalti jaati hai,” which means ‘the wheel of time keeps turning endlessly’. Thanking everyone for their wishes, Amitabh posted on X, “I will not be able to reply to everyone individually, sorry (folded hands emoji).”

Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in 1973 at a Mumbai temple, attended by close friends and family. Jaya wore a red saree with traditional jewellery and a Bengali-style bindi, while Amitabh opted for an off-white sherwani. At the time of their wedding, he was 30 and she was 25. Their wedding card recently resurfaced online.
After their wedding, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan went to London for their honeymoon. Their daughter, Shweta Bachchan, had shared a photo from the trip on Instagram a few years ago. Originally planned to celebrate the success of Zanjeer, the vacation became their first as a married couple.
Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan have co-starred in several films, including Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Mili, and Silsila. Most recently, Amitabh appeared alongside Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan, released last year, where he also shared screen space with Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati.
